Ptychorhynchus pfisteri – Rare Freshwater Mussel from Jiangxi

Ptychorhynchus pfisteri, native to Jiangxi Province, China, is a freshwater mussel closely resembling Nodularia douglasiae but can be distinguished by differences in shell texture and internal structures. It is less common compared to its congener.
